Abstract:
This paper illustrates a generic methodology for rapid design and prototyping of power electronics converters. The proposed approach is based on the series and/or parallel associations of generic power electronics blocks used to build up a complete modular conversion structure. A specific hierarchic configuration of these blocks is proposed to optimize its control and its regulation. This work is focused on the DC/DC conversion. 5V - 10W Capacitive coupled low voltage low power DC/DC blocks have been designed and used to build up and experiment a DC/DC 24-12 V 150W modular prototype.
