Abstract:
A 1.5kW digital totem pole PFC implementation with low cost current and voltage sensing circuit which is suitable for cost-sensitive inverter airconditioner. The digital controller is Infineon iMotion ARM Cortex-M0 digital controller. Prototype hardware and firmware has been built. Conductive EMI has been measured and compared to traditional boost topology. System efficiency also be measured and compared between Infineon 650V TRENCHSTOPTM 5 IGBT and GaN switches.
