Abstract:
In this paper the high frequency dimensional effects in pot cores made of MnZn-ferrite are examined. A mostly analytical method is used by which the field distribution in the core is calculated by means of separation of variables. Based on the results, the influence of an air gap on the phenomenon of dimensional resonance is discussed. The calculated results are compared with measured data to validate the model.
