Abstract:
A family of new open-loop current transducers is presented in which a σ-δ modulator has been added after the analog signal processing. The advantages of this architecture are explained. The design of the single ASIC containing Hall cells and all the active electronics is described. The digital connections meet the LVDS and RS422 standards. Characterization of a typical system, in which a transducer is connected to different digital filters, is presented along with the main performance parameters.
