Abstract:
This paper presents the design of a 60-kV 60-kW high-voltage switching power supply for electrostatic precipitator (ESP) applications. The power stage of the power supply is a quasi-resonance LCC converter with multiple inverter circuits and voltage multipliers, and the control design consists of a proportional-integral (PI) controller with two sets of parameters for full-load and half-load operating conditions. The component parameters of the power stage are designed based on the operating principle of the quasi-resonance LCC converter. The PI control parameters are designed with small-signal and large-signal modeling of the converter. The power stage and control design are verified by simulations and experiments.
