Abstract:
State-of-the-art gate-drive units, which utilize cur-rent-direction dependent control for RC-IGBT loss management, may fail, if oscillations during load current zero-crossing occur. In this paper, this effect is investigated concerning an optimized gate-drive unit control method. The approach is approved with measurements.
