This paper presents soft-switching dc/dc converters based on Sepic/Ζ topologies. Zero voltage switching (ZVS) is achieved by using a synchronous converter topology and a suitable control of the switches. The converter operation is analyzed, and the conditions for achieving ZVS are derived. Simulation results and measurements on a prototype converter are presented to verify the operating principle.
