Abstract:
This paper provides a new method for harmonic current control in DG-connected power network by using proposed pulse adaptation method on voltage source inverter. Conventional current control based method which uses V-f droop control, needs units of harmonic current reference and current tracking control loop so that, in addition to make the system more complicated in main power control level and some difficulties in proper adjustments, needs network models to be designed properly. A new PWM scheme, suitable for usage in DG interface is proposed at this paper. By using the proposed pulse adaptation method in conventional voltage control based method of DG, the current harmonics in network are compensated without adding to the complication of the main power control level, because this method, unlike the conventional harmonic compensation methods applies pulse shaping process in PWM level of the system to do the current harmonic depression service, not more in main power loops.
