Abstract:
High temperature actuator materials are of interest to a number of sectors, such as chemical, oil & gas and aerospace, however current piezoelectric materials do not exhibit the combination of properties to allow for efficient, reliable and reproducible high temperature operation. Ionix Advanced Technologies have developed a high temperature stack actuator using HPZ material. The HPZ stack actuator demonstrated stable operation up to 500 °C, with a highly linear field response, suggesting that this material is suitable for use in high temperature use or micro-positioning applications.
