Abstract:
A piezoelectric pump with two symmetry Ϛ-shaped structures was designed and tested in this work. Both high-speed camera and laser displacement sensors were employed in the experiment. It was found that both valveless and valve piezoelectric pump can be achieved by the present pump by changing the operation condition. The traditional definition of the valve of the volumetric pump fails to distinguish the present pump. A mathematical definition of the valve of the volumetric pump was given in this work.
