Abstract:
Loss and heat dissipation is critical to high power actuators. A advanced Partial electrode methodology configurations, proposed to determine the intensive/extensive loss factors of for the k33/k31 mode samples is proposed in this study, allows the direct measurement of extensive parameters for k31 mode and intensive parameters for k33 mode, which need to be derived through k K matrix conventionally. Theoretical derivation was conducted to verify the theory. Experimental and FEM simulation study are in good agreement with theoretical prediction, which proves that this methodology is accurate and effective to determine the desired properties. Our study has important practice instruction significance significant for high power actuators characterization.
