Abstract:
Flexible steel plate is widely used in various industrial products and generally conveyed while in contact with rollers in the manufacture process. This leads to deterioration in the quality of the plate surface, such as flaws and peeling of the plated layer. To solve this problem, we have proposed a hybrid levitation control system for thin steel plate using the magnetic force generated by permanent magnets, which have no operational costs. In this study, we searched the optimal position of permanent magnet to suppress the deflection of the steel plate which applied magnetic field from horizontal direction.
