Abstract:
As electromechanical actuator are gradually becoming a popular alternative to traditional hydraulic actuators in aeronautical and aerospace field, high reliability and safety particularly away from jam failure are urgently required for actuation systems. Accordingly, a jam-tolerant linear electromechanical actuator is proposed in this paper. Therein two power paths are formed by a dual-ballscrew assembly coupling with a ball spline hub driven by permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). In operation, the reciprocating dual-ballscrew assembly and redundant control strategy play a key role in power transmitting and transferring. Cross feedback and online redundancy management strategy are adopted to improve the reliability and jam response time. Based on the fault-tolerant processing technology, simulation is carried out to verify the compatibility. The dynamic responding curve shows a satisfied result of the control strategy and the jam power path is transferred to the other one within required time.
