Abstract:
This paper presents an in-depth tutorial of the UnitedSiC cascode and supercascode technologies. The 1200V/650V UnitedSiC cascodes feature an easy-to-use gate drive, high-performance integrated body diodes, and low switching loss, and are suitable for hard and soft switching applications, including OBC (Totem-pole PFC) and DC-DC (LLC) in electric vehicles. For higher voltage applications (>3kV), the unique super cascode technology provides cost and performance superiority over traditional solutions.
