Abstract:
This paper proposes an improved method to derive topologies for the battery-integrated DC/DC converters by assembling the confirmable subintervals of the aimed topology. The operating principle and specific steps of the topology derivation method are presented. Theoretically, the derived battery-integrated DC/DC converter can accurately regulate the load voltage on its reference value and properly adjust the power imbalance between PV port and load port. When compared with the traditional derivation method of combining two separate converters directly, the derivative process of this method is relatively simpler and the derived topologies are usually more compact so that it can be readily applied to the distributed photovoltaic systems. Simulations in Simulink can be performed to prove the plausibility of the topologies
