Abstract:
In this paper, a Brain Computer Interface (BCI) based intelligent wheelchair is described. The proposed wheelchair usesthe SSVEP (Steady State Visual Evoked Potential) as the control signal and Mecanum wheel to control the direction-softhe wheelchair. The SSVEP based BCI system has the high transport speed and high accuracy, and the Mecanum wheels solve the turning problem of the wheelchair. The corresponding experiment results show that, the proposed intelligent wheelchair can move from the start point to the assigned terminal point, which demonstrate feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method and system.
