Abstract:
Due to the prevalence of cancer, efficacious therapies with a good safety profile, and low toxicity are essential. Therefore, it is necessary to look for some drugs which are safety, low toxicity and efficient to improve patient's life quality. Curcumin, a monomer extracted from Chinese herbs tumeric, rhizoma zedoriae and radix curcumae, has been shown to exert anti-tumor effects. This paper summarized the anti-tumor mechanisms of curcumin, which provides a better comprehension and foundation for the clinical application.
