Abstract:
In this paper, a detailed description of the logic of the Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm within a Generalized Net (GN) model is presented. GNs can be considered as an effective and appropriate tool for illustrating the logics of different optimization techniques. The developed GN-model consists of 7 transitions and 31 places and mimics the optimization processes based on bees’ behaviour. As a result, the proposed GN-model executes the metaheuristic algorithm’s procedures performing basic steps and realized optimal search.
