Abstract:
This paper describes our effort to build a set of models for nano-oscillator systems that is compatible with modern EDA design tools. We have implemented a set of hierarchical models that spans an abstraction hierarchy patterned after CMOS design and includes device, circuit and system level models. The device models are based on empirical data sampled from hardware and the circuit and system models were verified against SPICE, MATLAB and C++. To date, we have built models for Spin Torque Oscillator (STO) based systems and Vanadium Dioxide (VO2) devices based on relaxation oscillator clusters. For space limitations, the examples shown here are based on the VO2 case. 1
