Abstract:
Three popular integration methods for the solution of a CNN state equation (namely forward Euler, Heun’s, and Runge-Kutta method) are studied regarding their application on digital hardware implementations with limited numerical precision. The methods are compared with respect to resource requirements, computing time, and accuracy on a selection of typical operations for image processing.
