Abstract:
The Smart Transformer (ST) provides DC connectivity and reduces the potential reinforcements in distribution grid caused by the high penetration of the distributed generators and electric vehicle charging stations. In this paper, the feature and concept of the ST, as well as the ancillary services, architecture classification, safety norms and grid connection requirements are given.
