Abstract:
In this paper a 3.6kW based bidirectional CLLC converter for on-board vehicle charger is investigated. Based on the fundamental harmonic approximation (FHA) the resonant network of the CLLC converter is designed under battery voltage constraints. The CLLC converters gain is considered for forward and reverse energy flow. To increase the efficiency a synchronous rectification (SR) is proposed and implemented. The resonant current sensor and the logic are introduced. In an experimental setup the gain of the CLLC converter is evaluated in the whole operating frequency range. The efficiency is measured under full load condition.
