Abstract:
An investigation of two types Lithium-Ion battery cells is conducted in order to evaluate their suitability for electric powertrains in automotive applications. In particular, different discharge currents and active oil cooling are considered. While one cell type is popular in today’s consumer electronics, the other cell type offers a high level of safety in expense of energy density.
