Abstract:
Direct conversion from 48 V to load using quasi-resonant topologies offers significant advantages to customers developing high-end servers and high-performance computers within data centers, as well as other applications needing high output currents at low core voltages. We will review how this topology offers higher efficiency than the equivalent IBC approach, lower EMI, higher power density, higher reliability and increased energy savings, all of which lead to lower total cost of ownership.
