Abstract:
A flexible and intelligent transport system based on the concept of a magnetic-coupled transverse flux linear machine is introduced. An uncomplicated mechanical construction with curves and switches without any mechanical adjustment is realized. Due to the design, the transport system is inexpensive and allows large travel paths without restrictions. Moreover, the transport system will be fitted with an inductive power transfer and ride-on frequency converters. Finally, an adapted control structure for the operation of curves and switches is presented. The aim of such a design is to realize a demand-based loading and unloading of transport carriages.
