Abstract:
The elderly population accounts for a growing proportion of the social population. The purpose of the research is to design a smart home health monitoring system to help the elderly and their children to know the daily health of the elderly, meantime overcome the inconvenience of wearable device nowadays. The smart home system is included with different types of passive sensors embedded in different locations in the room. These intelligent nodes can send data onto the server in real time, such as user activities and the use of various home facilities. These data will be used to analyze behavior patterns and health status. This paper also discusses the health data processing algorithms. Combined with medical knowledge, a health factor function is proposed to assess the health status of the elderly in daily life conditions.
