Abstract:
The integration of charging infrastructure for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) into the distribution grid will require intelligent, manageable solutions. For testing and validating the impact and characteristics of charging management systems for electric vehicles in an industrial grid, a hardware simulation system is developed. A modern electrical industrial grid is implemented in hardware components representing important components like power distribution, Photovoltaic (PV) and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generation, and controllable loads. In combination with sophisticated Models and a Simulation- and Control-platform, a hardware-based System Simulation Platform is created.
