Abstract:
The measuring of energy consumption and energy production in small and medium-sized companies produces big amounts of data. This Power Systems Big Data (PSBD) requires new data storage and analysis approaches. Current energy measurement systems are using different formats and data management techniques, which makes it impossible to compare and analyse data sufficiently or use it for further analysis [1] [2]. Therefore, based on collected data a possible approach has been defined to overcome the shortcomings of data handling and data storage of high-resolution energy measurements. The proposed enhancements can be used as a guideline in the development of new energy measuring equipment and in existing energy management systems. To show the advantages of the new approach, a database and a workflow based on the newly defined set of requirements are presented.
