Abstract:
This paper introduces a three-dimensional switching cell design whereby special focus is laid upon a low-inductive current measurement setup which is essential for the calculation of switching losses in a double-pulse configuration. For this purpose, the effects of a conventional coaxial shunt and an optimized Rogowski coil on a low-inductive switching cell are examined. In addition to the influence of a DC-snubber capacitor integrated into the switching cell the influence of an external DC-link capacitor and its inductive connection to the switching cell is investigated.
