Abstract:
This paper focuses on the design and evaluation of a controller for an induction machine that is fed by an interleaved inverter. The interleaved topology extends the available control set, allowing a higher quality in torque control, which is the main purpose of this paper. An optimization of switching patterns supports the reduction of the dc-link ripple. The chosen controller type is a finite control set model predictive controller that provides the possibility of achieving the mentioned goals via online optimization while considering the constraints of the topology. The design and analysis is done in MATLAB Simulink.
