              Abstract:
Model based design of power electronic applications with virtual prototyping and/or multi-objective optimization routines is a relative new research area. For design selection, a large number of different voltages and currents in the time and/or frequency domain must be known. Typically, these are calculated using analytical equations or approximations, as numerical simulation would be too time-consuming. This publication shows how steady-state behavior can be quickly achieved in a numerical simulation. Various approaches are shown and their effects are investigated scientifically.
