Abstract:
In this paper we compare the loss prediction capabilities of a Preisach based magnetic material model with the Jiles Atherton models (JAM) discussed in [1] for different kinds of ferrite materials. The implemented Preisach model supports asymmetric probability functions and gives, compared to the Jiles Atherton approach, the intrinsic advantage of closed minor loops.
