Abstract:
For the further grid integration of renewable power sources and to overcome the transmission line losses of conventional AC power systems, DC grids are proposed to be a suitable solution. But, due to the high dynamic of the used power converters, a reliable and robust control technique needs to be applied for controlling the overall DC grid. Within this work a proposed decentral DC grid controller for multi-terminal DC grids was implemented on a low voltage DC grid test stand. Its functionality was evaluated in several operation scenarios and compared to simulation results.
