Abstract:
For an offshore wind farm to be able to contribute to the black start of the main grid, it must first be black started on its own in an isolated manner. To cover the auxiliary power consumption of the wind energy plants in a self-sufficient way, an energy storage has to be set up. To investigate the black start behavior of an isolated grid using stored wind energy, a wind energy plant and an isolated grid were modelled. Both were complimented with the model of a battery storage and a suited grid control.
