Abstract:
Realizing a Photovoltaic (PV)-inverter with high power density, low electromagnetic interference (dv/dt and di/dt) and optimal cost requires a significant reduction of switching losses. The Auxiliary Resonant Commutated Pole Inverter (ARCPI) has been presented as a solution for this. This paper proposes an optimized design method, which takes into account the boundary conditions of a PV-inverter and an optimized control strategy for the auxiliary switches to obtain low peak current stress and high partial load efficiency.
