Super SOA Power MOSFETs Solution in Hot-Swap Application

Abstract:
Semiconductor technologies in MOSFETs vary from supplier to supplier and device to device. The technology in MOSFETs is optimized according to the intended application, and this is done by selecting a parameter (or a set of parameters) for optimum performance. However, this normally comes at a penalty of other parameters being compromised. In this technical session we will examine the issues hot-swap applications present, the right technology MOSFET to implement for this application and Nexperia’s SuperSOA technology in overcoming the challenges of optimisation.
