Abstract:
In order to realize the catapult takeoff of small Ornithopter and enhance the adaptability of the aircraft to various application environments, a bionic Ornithopter with foldable wings was designed according to the body structure and movement characteristics of birds. The flapping motion of the wing was realized by crank and rocker mechanism, and the dimension parameters of each component were calculated. The variation of flapping amplitude, Angle and angular velocity in the flapping process of the aircraft wing was obtained by ADMAS dynamic simulation. A prototype was made and flight performance test and launch test were carried out. Simulation and experiment show that the designed mechanism runs smoothly, the flight attitude is stable and the control performance is good. It can realize ejection takeoff and achieve the overall design expectation.
