Abstract:
This paper introduces a propeller-powered omni-directional car system composed of omni-directional balls, a car body, brushless DC motors, propellers, a battery and a microcontroller. The design purpose of the system is to develop an experimental device that can display guidance law and guidance control process with a physical system in the laboratory. This paper introduces the structure and the mathematical model of the omni-directional car system, gives the realization scheme of the guidance and control system, and completed simulation research using MATLAB/Simulink software. The research results show that it is feasible to realize the guidance and control experimental equipment that can be operated in the laboratory with the propeller-powered omni-directional car system.
