Abstract:
In order to further enhance the damage effect of projectile on concrete targets and improve the penetration depth, a head grooved projectile based on flat head projectile is proposed in this paper. Based on the 122mm flat head projectile and its penetration depth into concrete target, the mathematical model of head grooved projectile and the numerical simulation model of penetrating concrete target are established in this paper. The mechanical characteristics of grooved projectile penetrating concrete target are simulated and analyzed through experiments. The numerical simulation results show that the force model of grooved projectile concrete target can better simulate the penetration process of grooved projectile; At the same initial velocity, the grooved projectile has better mechanical properties than the conventional flat head projectile, and can effectively improve the penetration depth.
