Technical optimization on separation and purification of eugenol from clove buds and stem

Abstract:
In order to optimize the current eugenol extraction methods, the methods of ethanol extraction and water extraction were used to compare the yields of eugenol from clove buds and stem, respectively. The results showed that the yield of eugenol was the highest when eugenol was extracted with 95% ethanol at 80 ℃ by optimizing the ethanol extraction conditions of eugenol, and the solid-liquid ratio was 15:100 for 1h. The extraction rate of eugenol was 75.35mg/g at the optimized conditions. The study determined the best extraction method of eugenol, so as to provide a theoretical reference for eugenol extraction in the future.
