Abstract:
The research on Taylor-Couette flow originated in the late 19th century. Because of its simple structure and complex and changeable state, it has always been a hot spot for experts and scholars. Its theoretical research and analysis of abstract models have huge application prospects. This paper introduces the development process and measurement methods of Taylor-Couette flow in detail, builds a set of Taylor-Couette flow experimental system according to the experimental needs, and uses the device to observe the development process of Taylor vortex. The results show that the constructed Taylor-Couette flow device can reproduce the flow characteristics of each stage of Taylor-Couette flow well, and the experimental phenomenon is clear, which meets the requirements of subsequent experiments. This helps to further optimize the design of Taylor-Couette flow observation equipment.
