Abstract:
Resistance spot welding (RSW) is a welding method using resistance heat as energy, which is widely used in vehicle welding technology. It includes the interaction between electricity, heat, magnetism and metallurgy. The quality of solder joints directly determines the safety and service life of the whole vehicle. In order to study the quality of nugget, this paper establishes a thermoelectric coupling shaft model based on ABAQUS software to study the influence of welding time and welding current on nugget size. Finally, it is concluded that the influence of welding current on nugget size is greater than welding time, and false welding will occur when both welding current and welding time are insufficient, Finally, the analysis was verified by metallographic reality. The research results can provide scientific basis for welding process parameters and vehicle welding inspection.
