Dynamic characteristics of double helical star gear system considering wind resistance excitation

Abstract:
The wind resistance moment of a single pair of double helical star gear system with different tooth clearance is analysed based on the RNG k-ε turbulence model and dynamic mesh. The results show that the tooth surface wind resistance moment calculated by the two models is not much different; The fluid dynamics model of the double helical star gear system under oil lubrication conditions is built, the characteristic tooth wind resistance torque is calculated, and the results show that the characteristic tooth wind resistance torque has obvious fluctuations; the wind resistance excitation of the gear system is introduced and the dynamic response of the system is solved, the results show that the wind resistance caused by lubrication change the dynamic characteristics of the system, which performance better.
