Abstract:
The implementation of the MPTC scheme for high-speed or high-pole drives with high rated fundamental frequency poses many challenges. One of these is the low sampling to fundamental frequency ratio around the rated speed of the machine. The paper proposes a synchronized MPTC scheme for PMSMs, where the sampling frequency is synchronized to the fundamental frequency. The method can eliminate the low order harmonics, achieves better harmonic performance, and reduces the torque ripple at the same sampling frequency without synchronization. The paper also presents a dynamic weighting factor calculation method. Furthermore, the Tustin approximation is used to derive the prediction equations of the PMSM, as it can provide a better and more robust performance at low frequency ratio values due to increased precision.
