              Abstract:
A test stand for investigating failures of wind turbine converters has been set up at the IALB. It can generate both electrical and climatic loads. A 300 kVA test stand was set up for the development of test scenarios. One of the frequency converters should behave like a real generator of a wind turbine. Therefore, the output side of the frequency inverter is controlled on the basis of a model. The synchronous generator model was prepared in such a way that it is calculated by the PLC of the inverter. The shaft angle of the generator can be output via PROFIBUS.
