Abstract:
An important part of an intelligent and a more reliable power generation is the digitalisation of the supply grid using the Internet of Things and cloud computing. Therefore, a previously developed measurement system is extended to digitalise an onshore wind turbine in northern Germany. The measurement system records the electrical values at the converter as well as the rotational speed of the generator and values from the plant control system. The acquisition is synchronised to the UTC time using a GNSS receiver. The recorded values are transmitted to a cloud service to compute a digital representation of the wind turbine.
