Abstract:
Neurons are the basic unit of brains, and their electrochemical reactions and movements in extracellular fluid may affect consciousness. In order to explore the cerebral activity, simulating the subtle structures of somata, dendrites, axons should be the fundamental work. In this paper, a workflow for simulation of single neurons aiming at the current reconstructed data is proposed, which can produce some valuable intermediates, such as 3-D voxelized images and continuous surface meshes, and analyze the force, speed, and motion position of micro structure in neurons. If the constraints actually meet the physical reality and properties of the neuronal material, the motion of a single neuron can be preeminently simulated. This paper shows a good simulation effect, which can adaptively generate data with different granularity according to scale of neurons. It has a great inspiration and promotion for future research work.
