Abstract:
Asynchronous motors has been used in lots of aspects of daily life and industrial production because of its simple structure, low maintenance cost and long service life. Sensitively and reliably judging the rotor faults of the induction motors is becoming more and more significant. Therefore, lots of rotor bar fault detection methods of asynchronous motor are presented. It is pointed out that the voltage fluctuation will affect the accuracy of rotor bar fault detection methods of asynchronous motor. In order to verify the conclusion, some formulas were derived by taking “the rotor bar fault detection method of asynchronous motor which based on instantaneous reactive power signal analysis” as an example. The author found out that the frequency component of amplitude modulation wave would be reflected in the instantaneous reactive power signal spectrum when the voltage fluctuates, and the accuracy of this kind of detection method would be adversely affected. large number of experiments have been carried out to verify it, and the results show that the conclusion is reliable.
