Research and application of gob-side entry retaining technology in fully mechanized top-coal caving face with high gas content

Abstract:
As coal mining conditions become increasingly severe, efficient mining of high-quality coal resources is imminent. In order to eliminate coal resource loss caused by coal pillar in section and maximize mining rate, Yechuan Coal has explored the technology of gob retaining roadway and carried out field tests by changing the existing roadway layout. By analyzing and evaluating the deficiencies of the existing support methods, the research and field test of gob-side entry retention technology were carried out in 3205 fully-mechanized caving face. According to the field measurement of roadway retention, the deformation of roadway retention is generally controlled within 200mm, and the deformation of local geological structure area is controlled within 300mm, without floor-heave phenomenon, and the deformation of both sides is controlled within 200mm. In general, the deformation of surrounding rock of roadway retention along gob is well controlled, which lays a solid foundation for the reuse of mine roadway retention.
