Abstract:
This paper addresses the design and implementation of a dedicated fiber communication system to meet the real-time and reliability requirements of data transmission in several specific application scenarios. The system employs a double-loop structure to improve reliability. Additionally, gigabit serial data transceiver and optical communication technology achieve multi-rate data transmission. A fault handling mechanism is applied to ensure that system failure can be detected and resolved. A prototype based on FPGA is built to verify the functionality and performance of the system. Test results indicate that the effective data transfer rate and the average data transfer delay of the system are superior to those of the FC-AE protocol.
